Escape To Prolune, Chapter One: Prolune
Back to Escape To Prolune mainpage
Werner sat down at the bar on Prolune. He was a Silvani, and not accustomed to the moves and whispers of the Chasm of Stars; unlike the elder races, such as the Byrennians or the Rusidrans, the Silvani had evolved in a world with layers of magical protections that tuned out the latent Zurzumzarazul that underpinned the Chasm, and kept them from fully understanding the patterns of such a world of interstellar travel and opinion.
Here, on Prolune, there were races never to have been imagined in Inglenook or Edelmund, where Werner was from — deer-antlered people from Zallixis IV, and the grey-skinned Dorriyans, who resembled nothing more than the enchanted statues and gargoyles often seen adorning the buildings and castles back home in the Other Realms (and apparently, might actually have been born from them, giving Werner a topic of conversation if he were to ever speak with one).
There were others as well, a melting pot of shapes and sizes, some resembling animals known to the worlds of the Other Realms, others like nothing ever seen before, at least not to Werner, or most others who hadn't yet set forth unto the Chasm's richnesses of exploration.
